Peterson, Inman Driving New Analytics Platform for TARGUSinfo
Executive duo plays integral role in supplying unprecedented marketing intelligence on demand
VIENNA, Va. October 30, 2007 — Keith Peterson, Ph.D., and Ken Inman, Ph.D., two veteran marketing research executives with expertise in developing predictive analytics platforms and systems for location and marketing applications, have joined TARGUSinfo to build its new-generation analytics capabilities.
The ElementOneSM Analytics Platform promises to deliver more sophisticated, relevant and actionable customer information than any currently available commercial or custom segmentation system. TARGUSinfo, the leading provider of On-Demand Information services, announced the program at DMA 07 two weeks ago and ElementOne services are available today.
Peterson, SVP of Operations for the ElementOne division, was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Claritas and President of Integras, Claritas’ advanced analytical services division. He directed the company’s overall product strategy. Inman, VP of Research & Development for ElementOne services, was previously VP of Analytics and Primary Research for Integras.
“We’ve shaped the ElementOne Analytics Platform according to three combined decades of insights from Keith and Ken in developing predictive analytics solutions and bringing them to market,” said TARGUSinfo Executive Vice President Robert Nascenzi, General Manager of the ElementOne team.
Peterson and Inman specialize in the application of predictive modeling to location and marketing applications and have published papers on measurement methodology. Peterson has worked with many of the largest retail and financial services companies and has assisted startups in market-expansion strategy.
“As ever-increasing competition forces companies to better know their customers, TARGUSinfo is uniquely positioned to provide that knowledge whenever it’s needed,” Peterson said. “The ElementOne Analytics Platform will be able to apply the resulting intelligence not only to existing customers but to new prospects, even in the split second before an agent answers a call. I’ve been excited to see this analytics platform develop.”
Prior to his work at Claritas, Peterson was president of V3 Global, an analytical services firm, and has held senior management positions at The Polk Company and U.S. West.
Inman has extensive experience in the research and development of segmentation systems and consumer predictive models using both household and geodemographic data and information.
Before joining Claritas in 1995, he served as a Senior Financial Economist at a financial risk management firm called CATS. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Professor at Claremont McKenna College, teaching statistics, macroeconomics, econometrics and economic forecasting. He is a frequent speaker on the application and use of segmentation, and has written several papers on consumer behavior modeling.
“To make the right decisions with their marketing investments, companies need to be able to quantify and qualify their customers and prospects as accurately as possible,” Inman said. “ElementOne services deliver the dynamic segmentation needed to devise and measure strategies for effective acquisition, cross-selling and retention. The initial response from TARGUSinfo prospects and current customers and the analyst community has been tremendous.”
